One-off costs: $800.00

Runway operating costs: $900.00

Estimated cash needed: $1,700.00

Formula and assumptions

One-off costs = equipment and supplies + setup and launch + other one-off costs. Runway operating costs = monthly operating burn × runway months. Estimated cash needed = one-off costs + runway operating costs.

Enter all costs in USD. The monthly burn is assumed constant for each month, with no income offset, inflation or changing expenses. Runway is whole months, including zero if you only want to estimate upfront spending.

What to include

One-off items might include equipment or an initial setup fee. Monthly burn might include software, rent or recurring supplies. Avoid counting the same expense in both categories. Taxes, debt payments, owner pay, contingencies and timing of cash flows are not automatically included: add them to a relevant field if they apply to your plan. This is an estimate, not a quote or a guarantee that the amount will be sufficient.
